Nicki Minaj's Valentine's Day Advice: 'It's All About The Girls!'

Have you ever wondered how you might romance Lil Wayne protégé Nicki Minaj on the most romantic day of the year? Well, it seems that the way to this bad girl's heart is surprisingly traditional. In other words, stock up on flowers and candy.

"For the men on Valentine's Day? Be traditional," she told Us1magazine at Dylan's Candy Bar in New York earlier this month. "Don't get caught up in the hype of doing something crazy. Be traditional."

So what is Minaj asking Cupid for come the big day? "Teddy bears, candy, lingerie, sexy heels, thigh-high boots red!" she revealed, jokingly adding that you may need some other products in case the night ends up getting a little intimate.

And she's quick to point out that men shouldn't expect similar treatment from their ladies on the big day. "It's not about you," she said."Don't expect a gift you're not getting one. You don't deserve one. You don't need one. It's all about the girls."

Speaking of the girls, Minaj recently shot a video with Mariah Carey for the remix of "Up Out My Face." And she admitted that Carey was anything but the diva she seems to be. "When I met her, she was so funny and silly," Nicki recalled. "I thought when I was gonna work with Mariah, [she] was gonna be like this diva. But we were cracking jokes the whole day. She's a sweet, down-to-earth person."
